FARM MANAGER – BROILER FARMING
Location: Rufunsa District, Lusaka Province
Farm Capacity: 5,000 – 20,000+ Broiler Chickens per Cycle
Reporting To: Farm Owner / Operations Director
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and disciplined Broiler Farm Manager to oversee daily operations at our commercial broiler production farm. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in broiler production, including feed management, biosecurity enforcement, mortality control, staff supervision, and production cost accountability.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a manager who understands the full broiler production cycle—from day-old chicks to market weight—and can operate the farm with professionalism, integrity, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, or Veterinary Science.
- Candidates with a Diploma in Agriculture / Animal Production and 2–3 years commercial broiler experience will also be considered.
Experience & Technical Competence
- Minimum 3 years managing a commercial broiler farm (5,000+ birds).
- Strong understanding of broiler nutrition, feed conversion, and growth targets.
- Proven ability to enforce biosecurity measures and operational SOPs.
- Experience supervising farm staff and preventing losses, wastage, and theft.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- High integrity and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Basic computer literacy for reporting (Excel, WhatsApp, Email).
