Roles and Responsibilities of a Procurement Officer
Prepare, manage, and submit tender documents for outsourcing opportunities in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
Identify and monitor tender opportunities from public and private entities.
Analyze tender requirements, specifications, and eligibility criteria to ensure full compliance.
Coordinate with internal departments to gather technical, financial, and administrative inputs for tenders.
Prepare bid documentation, pricing schedules, and supporting compliance documents.
Ensure timely submission of tenders and maintain proper records of all tender activities.
Liaise with outsourcing clients, vendors, and stakeholders for clarifications and follow-ups.
Conduct supplier evaluations and due diligence where required.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and procurement laws.
Maintain a tender register and prepare procurement reports for management review.
Support contract negotiations and assist in contract award processes.
Monitor awarded outsourcing contracts to ensure adherence to agreed terms and service levels.
