JOB ADVERT – Stores Assistant.
Aller Aqua Zambia Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Stores Assistant. The role reports to the Stores Manager and will be based at the Aller Aqua Zambia Factory, in Siavonga.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive raw materials (e.g., fish meal, soya, maize bran, additives) and other supplies.
- Verify quantities and quality against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Assist in inspecting goods for damages or discrepancies.
- Record received stock in stock cards or inventory system
- Properly store materials according to FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Ensure proper labeling and stacking of goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Ensure materials are stored in appropriate conditions to prevent contamination or spoilage.
- Maintain accurate stock records (manual or computerized system).
- Assist in regular stock counts and periodic audits.
- Report stock shortages, damages, or expired materials to the Stores Manager.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE)
Degree or Diploma in Stores Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role,stores/warehouse operations (preferably in manufacturing or feed production).
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, inventory systems).
Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
