Job Title: CREDIT CONTROLLER

2. JOB PURPOSE
The Credit Controller is responsible for managing the company’s credit control processes to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintenance of a healthy cash flow. The primary purpose of this role is to minimize financial risk by managing customer credit and collections, ensuring that debts are collected efficiently while maintaining positive customer relationships. The Credit Controller plays a key role in supporting the company’s financial stability and operational efficiency.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Credit Management:
- Monitor and manage the company’s credit limits and credit risk.
- Conduct credit assessments and evaluations on new and existing customers.
- Set up and review credit terms and limits in accordance with company policy.
- Debt Collection:
- Track overdue invoices and manage the collection process.
- Contact customers via phone, email, or letter to follow up on overdue payments.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers.
- Accounts Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts and payment histories.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and investigate any discrepancies.
- Generate and review reports on aged debt and collection activities.
- Customer Relations:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure timely payments.
- Handle customer queries and disputes regarding invoices or payments professionally.
- Provide exceptional customer service while managing collections.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on the status of accounts receivable and debt collection activities.
- Document all interactions with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations for credit policy improvements based on analysis and trends.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure that credit terms are in line with sales agreements.
- Liaise with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in developing and implementing credit control policies and procedures.

5. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
6.EXPERIENCE:
Minimum · 3 years of experience in credit control or accounts receivable Management.
