Role Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing the Group’s entire financial function, ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business growth across multiple operating companies.
The role requires a versatile finance executive with strong commercial insight, capable of managing complex financial structures while supporting strategic decision-making at Board and Executive level.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Strategy
- Lead Group budgeting and forecasting
- Develop financial plans aligned to business goals
- Build financial models for investments and expansion
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Oversee preparation of Group financial statements
- Manage financial consolidation across companies
- Analyse financial performance and track KPIs
Financial Operations
- Supervise accounting functions (AP, AR, Payroll)
- Manage cash flow, banking, and investments
- Monitor and manage financial risks
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop finance teams
- Report financial performance to Directors/Board
- Work closely with other departments on business decisions
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations
- Maintain strong internal controls
- Coordinate audits and implement recommendations
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- ACCA / CIMA / CPA / CA Zambia (Mandatory)
- Minimum 10 years finance experience, with senior leadership exposure
- Experience in a Group of Companies / multi-entity environment
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax, and compliance
- Proficiency in ERP and financial systems
