TLB Operator

Reports To: Site Supervisor / Operations Manager
Job Summary
Goldenlay Agri Limited is seeking a skilled TLB Operator to operate a Tractor Loader Backhoe for agricultural and construction-related activities. The operator will be responsible for safe machine operation, loading, trenching, digging, and assisting with land development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the TLB machine for excavation, loading, trenching, and backfilling.
- Assist with farm infrastructure development such as drainage systems, irrigation channels, and road maintenance.
- Transport soil, gravel, manure, and other materials when required.
- Conduct daily machine inspections before and after operation.
- Ensure proper machine maintenance and report any mechanical faults immediately.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with supervisors and other site workers to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the machine and work area.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating a TLB machine.
- Valid equipment operator certification or training is an added advantage.
- Grade 12 Certificate is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of equipment safety procedures.
- Ability to work long hours and in outdoor farm environments.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions.
