J&J Transport Zambia Limited is growing and seeking experienced, committed, and proactive professionals to join our dynamic team in Lusaka.
We are Hiring for the Following Position:
- Import Coordinator x 1
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all import operational procedures fully comply with company policies.
- Liaise with fleet representatives to promptly address any operational issues and ensure border clearances and truck turnaround times remain a top priority.
- Coordinate with internal departments across the Group to facilitate accurate and timely payment of all relevant invoices while maintaining clear communication among stakeholders.
- Monitor and report truck movements to ensure the shortest possible round‑trip times by improving efficiencies at all inbound border points.
- Minimize truck turnaround times by expediting offloading processes at warehouses, depots, customer locations, or as required by government authorities.
- Liaise and coordinate with Border Customs, ZRA, and Road Authorities regarding procedures for the transportation and importation of goods and movement of company vehicles.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Relevant Diploma or Degree from a recognized institution in transport & logistics/ clearing and forwarding /Business Management.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in an international transport or logistics company in a similar role within the industry.
- Age: 28 years and above
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Proactive and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent IT skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work weekends and rotational public holidays when required.
- Professional Membership: Valid practicing certificate and membership with relevant bodies (ZCILT).
