The role will include field work as part of the duties. The Sales & Marketing Officer will strive to ensure that all marketing activities align with and help achieve the goals set by Management.

JOB BRIEF - SALES & MARKETING OFFICER
Reporting to the Head- Education Programmes & Operations:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12 School Certificate (Minimum of 5 Credits, Mathematics & English a must)
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent professional qualification in Sales and Marketing, Communications, Business Development, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar capacity related to sales and marketing, communications, or business development in a busy office set up.
- Experience in education, professional training, or banking and financial services, is an advantage.
- Demonstrated success in digital marketing, LMS content management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Budget management experience and a track record of achieving enrollment or revenue targets.
- Membership to a related professional body is desirable but not a limiting factor.
- Familiarity with regulatory sector environments.
- Experience in developing business-to-business partnerships, and corporate sponsorships.
- Clean and Valid Driver’s Licence is a must.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- Drive student recruitment, enrollment, and stakeholder engagement for the Institute’s events and programmes
- Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that raise brand awareness, improve conversion rates, and support revenue growth while ensuring alignment with ZIBFS’s mission and regulator reforms priorities.
- Leverage digital marketing, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven insights, and Learning Management System (LMS) capabilities to optimize learner acquisition, retention, and learning outcomes.
- Field work forms part of the job of the incumbent.
Specifically, the Sales and Marketing Officer actively participates in achieving the ZIBFS marketing aspects as follows:
1) Marketing Strategy and Campaigns
- Develop and implement the annual marketing plan and multi-channel campaigns (digital and traditional) to meet enrollment targets across Institute offerings.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities for business promotion and growth.
- Conduct field work and personal selling to increase enrollment and membership levels of the Institute.
- Actively participate in the preparation of content for the publication of marketing materials and oversee distribution
- Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for programmes, events or services on a variety of media (social, print, electronic, etc.).
- Plan and execute sales leads, sales conversion, and product process nurturing.
- Monitor and optimize campaigns based on performance analytics and Return on Investment (ROI).
- Create physical and digital awareness of the Institute brand and the programmes offered by the Institute, using various tools and fora.
- Liaise and work closely with stakeholders and vendors to promote and ensure the success of annual activities and programme enrollments
- Ensure all Institute events, programmes, and initiatives are integrated with digital marketing platforms and complemented by ongoing physical engagement.
- See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using applicable metrics
- Continually keep abreast with and fully understand the extent of banking and financial services training industry in Zambia, in order to fully comprehend the industry’s training & education needs.
2) Digital Marketing and Marketing Technology (MarTech)
- Manage digital channels (website, social media, email marketing, paid media) to drive traffic and sales conversions.
- Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO)/Search Engine Marketing (SEM) strategies, content optimization, and user journey improvements.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools for effective marketing and campaign optimization.
- Coordinate with Information Technology (IT) experts and Analytics to ensure data quality, tagging, and reporting accuracy.
- Safely harnessing AI tools to improve Institute-wide communication
3) Learning/ Student Management System (LMS) and Course Experience
- Practical involvement in LMS content publishing, course brochures and catalogues, and student on-boarding experiences.
- Collaborate with lecturers, tutors, student chapters and stakeholder HR, sales and marketing teams to enhance online learner experience and ensure customer retention
- Monitor LMS analytics (enrolments, completion rates, time-to-completion, learner satisfaction) and implement improvements.
4) Sales Enablement and Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with regulators, corporate members, employers, individual members, institutions of learning, and other relevant stakeholders
- Negotiate and manage partnerships, Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), and sponsorships where applicable.
5) Market Intelligence and Analytics
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and demand forecasting.
- Provide actionable insights to inform product development and pricing strategies.
6) Brand Management and Communications
- Ensure consistent brand voice and branding across all communications.
- Draft press releases, success stories, programme endorsements, brochures, fliers, and stakeholder communications.
- Manage events, webinars, and information sessions to promote programmes and learner engagement.
- Timely response to client communication and queries, and primarily responsible for dealing with any customer communication about the products and services offered by the Institute offers.
7) Compliance, Ethics, and Quality Assurance
- Ensure marketing communications comply with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Align campaigns with data privacy, and consent requirements; maintain ethical standards in all marketing activities.
- Collaborate with Management and Academic Committees to monitor learner outcomes and programme quality.
8) Budgeting and Resource Management
- Collaborate with management in preparing departmental budgets and monitoring expenses
- Allocate marketing resources effectively to maximize impact.
9) Other
- Carry out other duties as may be reasonably assigned by management.

A. Desired Technical Competencies:
- Digital Marketing: Search Engine Marketing (SEM), content marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, analytics, conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- AI and Data Analytics: Familiarity with AI-driven marketing tools, data interpretation, and actionable insights.
- LMS Management: Knowledge of major Learning Management Systems (LMS platforms) such as publishing content, user management, analytics, and accessibility.
- Content Creation: basics of graphic content development, and multimedia production is an added advantage.
