We are looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing, PR & Communications to lead this next chapter.
JOB BRIEF
This is not a traditional marketing role. You will be responsible for repositioning eShandi in the market, building brand trust, and driving aggressive growth across all digital and offline channels.
You will lead:
v Brand strategy
v Public relations and reputation management
v Digital marketing and content
v Customer engagement and storytelling
This role requires someone who is both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to execute at speed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Brand & Reputation Management
v Lead the repositioning of eShandi as a trusted and go-to fintech brand
v Develop and execute trust-building campaigns
v Manage brand perception across all platforms
2. PR & Communications
v Develop and implement a proactive PR strategy
v Manage media relationships and press coverage
v Lead crisis communications and reputation management
v Draft and oversee key communications (press releases, statements, speeches)
3. Digital Marketing & Growth
v Own and execute the digital marketing strategy across: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube
v Drive aggressive growth in followers, engagement, and brand visibility
v Oversee paid media, performance marketing, and campaign execution
4. Content & Storytelling
v Build and lead a high-performing content engine
v Oversee creation of: Video content (Reels, TikTok-style); Founder-led content; Customer stories and testimonials
v Ensure consistent, high-quality brand messaging
5. Leadership & Execution
v Build and manage a marketing and communications team
v Work closely with the CEO and executive team
v Align marketing with business growth objectives
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a builder and operator, not just a strategist
Qualifications:
v 8–12+ years’ experience in Marketing, PR, or communications
v Proven experience in fintech, banking, telco, or high-growth startups
v Strong experience in digital marketing and content strategy
v Demonstrated success in brand building and repositioning
v Experience managing PR, media and crisis communications
Key Traits:
v Strategic thinker + hands-on executor
v Strong storytelling and communication skills
v Comfortable working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
v Data-driven and results-oriented
v Highly creative and innovative
Bonus Experience (Highly Desirable)
