Kamimbi Aqua Feed invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following Positions . Theses roles will be based at the Kamimbi Aqua Feed Factory in Siavonga.
1. Mechanical Engineer Intern
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in designing mechanical components and systems using engineering principles.
- Support maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Participate in inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of mechanical systems.
- Assist in preparing technical drawings, reports, and documentation.
- Collect and analyze data for engineering projects.
- Support implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Observe safety standards and company procedures during engineering activities.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Grade 12 Certificate.
Recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and engineering concepts.
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a practical work environment.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
2. Air-conditioning Technician Intern
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in installation of air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Support routine maintenance and servicing of HVAC systems.
- Help diagnose faults and carry out basic repairs on air conditioning units.
- Assist in cleaning filters, ducts, coils, and other system components.
- Support testing of systems to ensure proper functioning and efficiency.
- Help maintain records of maintenance and repair work performed.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Grade 12 Certificate.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and refrigeration principles.
Willingness to learn and work in a technical environment.
Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic technical and problem-solving skills.
3. Instrumentation Technician Intern
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and control equipment.
- Support calibration of instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- Help monitor control systems to ensure accurate performance.
- Participate in troubleshooting faults in automated systems.
- Assist in maintaining Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and SCADA systems.
- Record and report equipment readings and maintenance activities.
- Support preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
- Assist senior technicians during equipment inspections and repairs.
- Maintain tools and ensure work areas are clean and organized.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering Or related field.
Basic knowledge of industrial instruments and control systems
Understanding of PLC and automation systems
Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals
Good problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn and work in industrial environments
Basic computer skills (MS Office)
