Job Title: Senior Trailer Mechanic

A reputable transport and logistics company in Zambia is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair trailer mechanical faults and breakdowns.
* Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on trailers.
* Repair suspension systems, braking systems, air systems, axles, and electrical wiring.
* Perform welding and fabrication work when required.
* Ensure all trailers meet road safety and company standards.
* Supervise junior mechanics and provide technical guidance.
* Maintain accurate service and repair records.
* Respond to emergency breakdowns when necessary.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on heavy-duty trailers.
* Strong knowledge of trailer air brake systems, suspension, and hydraulics.
* Trade certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Heavy Equipment Repair.
* Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
* Good problem-solving and leadership skills.
* Valid driver’s license (Class CE added advantage).
