The Intern Project Officer will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities. The intern will work closely with the project team to ensure smooth project operations, effective stakeholder engagement, proper documentation, and timely reporting. This position provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in project management, community development, monitoring and evaluation, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Project Implementation Support
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of project activities in line with approved work plans.
- Support the organization of meetings, workshops, trainings, and community sensitization activities.
- Participate in field visits and assist with activity monitoring and follow-up.
- Support stakeholder engagement with community members, local authorities, and partner organizations.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Assist in collecting, compiling, and analyzing project data.
- Support the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reports.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, participant attendance, and outcomes.
- Assist in documenting lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.
Administrative Support
- Prepare meeting minutes and activity reports.
- Assist in scheduling meetings and coordinating logistics for project activities.
- Maintain organized project files, both electronic and hard copy.
- Support procurement and inventory management processes as required.
Community Engagement
- Participate in community mobilization and awareness activities.
- Assist in conducting surveys, assessments, and data collection exercises.
- Support the dissemination of project information and communication materials.
Compliance and Safeguarding
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
- Support the implementation of safeguarding, gender, and social inclusion measures within project activities.
- Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of project information.
Other Duties
- Perform any other project-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Work, Sociology, Gender Studies, Community Development, Public Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
Experience
- Experience in data collection, report writing, or project support activities is desirable.
Skills and Competencies
