We are looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in crafting high-quality bread rolls, specialty breads, cakes, and scones. We are looking for someone who takes pride in consistency and volume, but who also possesses a strong desire to learn, experiment, and grow their baking with new recipes.
Key Responsibilities
- High-Volume Baking: Prepare and bake a minimum of 80 high-quality bread rolls daily, ensuring consistent size, texture, and taste.
- Specialty Items: Measure, mix, shape, and bake a variety of specialty breads, cakes, cupcakes and scones according to standard recipes.
- Recipe Innovation: Actively learn and implement new recipes, baking techniques, and product lines as requested by management.
- Quality Control: Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and presentation to ensure all products meet our high quality standards.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a spotless, organized workspace. Strictly adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Track ingredient stock levels and report shortages ahead of time to avoid production delays.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a baker, specifically with bread rolls, artisan/specialty breads, cakes, and scones.
- High Output Capability: Ability to efficiently manage time and physical stamina to meet the daily quota of 80+ bread rolls.
- Coachability: A strong willingness to learn new recipes and adapt to our specific baking styles and methods.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring ingredients and monitoring baking processes.
Location Preference
Note: Due to shift starts, preference will be given to candidates residing in the immediate vicinity of Bauleni Mall, Leopards Hill Memorial Park, or surrounding nearby areas for ease of transport.
