We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and passionate Barista to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Grind.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers warmly and provide a friendly, professional experience.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Offer product recommendations and answer customer questions about menu items.
- Handle customer requests, concerns, and feedback professionally.
- Build positive relationships with customers and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality of all beverages served.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Maintain proper food safety and hygiene standards during beverage preparation.
- Assist with the preparation of light food items when required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, dining areas, and service counters.
- Restock supplies and ensure products are displayed appropriately.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor equipment functionality and promptly report maintenance needs.
- Support stock counts and inventory management activities.
Requirements:
- Certificate or training in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Services, Catering, Tourism, or a related field is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a Barista, Cashier, Waiter/Waitress, or in a customer service role is an advantage.
- Experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
