Job Purpose
To install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, water reticulation, drainage, sanitation, irrigation, pumping, and water storage systems in residential, commercial, institutional, and agricultural facilities in accordance with Company standards and applicable regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Installation and Maintenance
Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, water reticulation systems, drainage systems, sanitation systems, pumps, tanks, borehole systems, irrigation systems, and associated equipment.
2. Inspection and Troubleshooting
Inspect plumbing and water systems, diagnose faults, identify causes of failures, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
3. Testing and Commissioning
Conduct testing, commissioning, inspections, and preventive maintenance to ensure plumbing and water systems operate efficiently and safely.
4. Resource and Asset Management
Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of Company tools, equipment, vehicles, materials, and other assigned resources.
5. Reporting and Documentation
Prepare and submit job reports, maintenance reports, material usage records, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
6. Health, Safety and Compliance
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements, Company procedures, applicable regulations, and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

1. Quality of Workmanship
Completion of plumbing works to Company and client standards with minimal defects, rework, or callbacks.
2. Productivity and Timely Completion
Completion of assigned tasks and projects within agreed timelines.
3. Health, Safety and Compliance
Compliance with safety requirements, Company procedures, and applicable standards.
4. Customer Service and Professional Conduct
Professional engagement with clients and colleagues while maintaining the Company's reputation.
5. Cost Efficiency and Resource Management
Responsible use of materials, tools, equipment, fuel, and other Company resources while minimising wastage and avoidable costs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Trade Test Certificate, Craft Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Plumbing.
- Practical experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.
- Experience in irrigation systems, water reticulation systems, pumps, or borehole installations will be an added advantage.
- Valid Driver's Licence will be an added advantage.
