Business Development Support Intern (1 Position)

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Duration: 6 Months

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and capable Business Development Support Intern to support lead generation, prospect identification, client engagement, and pipeline management activities.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of business development principles and can identify opportunities, engage prospective clients, and support business growth initiatives in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct market research and identify prospective clients
Generate and qualify leads through various channels
Support client engagement and relationship-building activities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records
Track leads through the sales pipeline and provide status updates
Follow up on client engagements and business opportunities
Support scheduling of meetings, demonstrations, and presentations
Contribute to business development campaigns and growth initiatives
Prepare activity and pipeline reports

Minimum Requirements

Recent graduate or final-year student in Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Sales Management, or a related field
Demonstrated understanding of business development, sales processes, market research, and client relationship management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong organizational and analytical skills
