IT TECHNICIAN — HARDWARE & SOFTWARE
Location: Lusaka | Full-time | Reports to: Owner / CEO
Salary: ZMW 12,000 – 18,000 per month, depending on skill and capability
LoanCred Fintech and Recoveries is recruiting a skilled IT Technician to take charge of the technical side of its in-house IT function. Loanco Financial Services is a principal client. This is not a help-desk seat. You will be the person the business calls when something breaks, and the person who decides how it gets fixed. You report directly to the Director.
What you will do
• Install, configure, maintain and repair desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals across LoanCred and client sites, including Loanco.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults on the spot wherever possible.
• Support staff from day-to-day issues to new-user setup.
• Travel between sites in and around Lusaka for on-site support and installations.
• Keep network connectivity, backups and antivirus running and current.
• Track IT assets, software licences and equipment, and keep a clear record of work done.
• Liaise with suppliers on repairs, quotations and replacements.
What we require
• 4–5 years’ hands-on experience as an IT technician, hardware and software.
• Diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Solid working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, and networking basics (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches).
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle. Regular travel between Lusaka sites.
• Currently based in Lusaka. Fluent written and spoken English.
• Immediate availability is an advantage.
What will set you apart
We want an exceptionally fast learner. If colleagues already call you because you have figured the new thing out, you will do well here. CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA or Microsoft credentials are a strong advantage.
What we offer
• ZMW 12,000 – 18,000 per month, depending on skill.
• Monthly fuel and transport allowance.
• NAPSA and NHIMA contributions.
• Direct reporting line to the Director, and ownership of the technical side of the department.
How to apply
Email your CV and a copy of your driver’s licence to tommie@centralbrands.online with the subject line: IT Technician — Lusaka.
In the body of the email, answer these three questions in your own words:
• Describe the most difficult hardware or software fault you have fixed, and how you worked it out.
• Name one technology or tool you taught yourself in the last 12 months, and what you used it for.
• What vehicle do you drive, and are you comfortable travelling between sites in and around Lusaka?
Applications that do not answer all three questions will not be considered.
Closing date: 23 September 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on Microsoft Teams on 28 September 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
