About Us We are a Chinese trading company operating a hardware supermarket in Lusaka, Zambia. We import and sell hardware tools, auto spare parts and construction supplies. We are now seeking a reliable Chinese-English translator to join our team for daily business communication, document translation and on-site interpretation.
Job Responsibilities Provide on-site interpretation between Mandarin and English for daily business, customer reception, supplier negotiation, local authority communication and staff management Translate commercial documents, invoices, contracts, product specifications, notices and company internal files accurately Assist in daily office administration, meeting minutes and follow-up of work matters Help bridge cross-cultural communication between Chinese management and local Zambian employees, clients and vendors Complete other related tasks assigned by management
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university is mandatory
Fluent in both spoken and written Mandarin and English;
accurate interpretation and translation
Good communication skills, patient, responsible and detail-oriented Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel) Prior experience in trading, hardware, construction or African business is an advantage
Able to work on-site in Lusaka, stable and willing for long-term cooperation Basic understanding of local business customs in Zambia preferred
