Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Marketing Manager (Pharmacist) to lead our marketing, business develocpment, and tender acquisition initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in positioning PWNB competitively in Zambia’s healthcare sector by driving product visibility, institutional engagement, and compliance with all pharmaceutical marketing regulatory requirements.
Job Title: Marketing Manager (Pharmacist)
Reports to: General Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor strategic marketing plans to increase sales and market share across institutional and private sectors.
- Lead PWNB’s participation in Public and Private tenders, ensuring complete and compliant submissions.
- Manage the product portfolio by overseeing branding, launches, promotional activities, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with ZAMRA promotional guidelines and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, gaps, and emerging trends.
- Establish and maintain strong networks with hospitals, clinics, NGOs, and key decision-makers in the healthcare ecosystem.
- Develop and manage customer relationship programs to strengthen loyalty and improve client satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and training to the marketing and sales teams, ensuring clear targets and accountability.
- Monitor and evaluate marketing ROI and prepare periodic reports for senior management and the Board.
- Represent PWNB at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to strengthen the company’s visibility and partnerships.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), HPCZ registration, and valid practicing license (mandatory).
- 5–7 years’ proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or business development.
- Certification in marketing or sales management (advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes, institutional procurement, and ZAMRA regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Valid driver’s license, with willingness to travel extensively.
