Duties revolve around supporting the daily operations of a retail or warehouse environment. Their duties are crucial for managing inventory, maintaining the appearance of the store, and ensuring a positive and efficient experience for customers
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory and stock management
Receiving and processing stocks: Unload and unpack incoming shipments, verify that the delivered products match the order forms, and check for any damage.
Restocking shelves: Replenish merchandise on the sales floor and display areas, ensuring products are properly arranged, rotated, and priced according to company guidelines.
Maintaining organized stock: Keep back-of-house storage, such as stockrooms and warehouses, clean and well-organized for maximum efficiency and accessibility.
Conducting stock checks with stock controller: Assist with regular inventory counts and report any stock discrepancies or low inventory levels to the store manager.
Preparing Customer orders: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare items for customer pickup or transfer to other locations.
Inventory management software: Using inventory or warehouse management software, essential for tracking and managing stock.
- Store Maintenance and Operations
Maintaining store appearance: Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to ensure a tidy and welcoming environment for shoppers.
Following safety procedures: Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment for both employees and customers.
Supporting the sales team: Provide general assistance to the sales & marketing team and other team members with various operational and administrative tasks.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent Communication, Inventory Management Skills.
- Fair knowledge in store keeping.
- Should be computer literate including Microsoft 365 & other basic applications.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full Grade Twelve Certificate
- Diploma or an Advanced Certificate in field of inventory management will be an added advantage
- Fluency in Bemba English,
- 1-2years of experience in the related field will be an advantage and preferred.
- Should have basic knowledge of Counter Sales/ Customer Service/ Invoicing/ POS/ accounts.
- Must have a positive and hardworking personality.
Work Hours: 9hrs/ day _ Monday to Friday & 04hrs on Saturday
