Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Strategic
- Champion the API ecosystem by consolidating developer feedback and informing the roadmap.
- Lead developer community engagement, including hosting business sessions and managing external relationships.
- Ensure API documentation and product specifications meet global standards.
- Support the implementation of the Fintech API roadmap in alignment with Group strategy.
- Oversee MoMoApps performance, configuration, and usage tracking.
- Produce detailed product documentation including specifications, scopes of work, and user requirements.
- Monitor and report on API performance, usage, engagement, and revenue
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with governance and control mechanisms.
- Participate in strategic meetings locally and with Group Office.
- Execute OpCo-wide transformation initiatives and special projects. Commercial & Growth-Focused
- Lead the growth and adoption of the MoMo Suite of Apps – Consumer, Merchant, and Agent – across Zambia.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, and Distribution teams to optimize app visibility and usage.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform product enhancements.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the reach of MoMo digital products.
- Track and report on commercial performance metrics including active users, transaction volumes, and revenue impact.
- Support pricing, bundling, and promotional strategies to maximize product uptake.
Operational & Governance
- Align execution with divisional strategies, objectives, and budgets.
- Support budget preparation and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Localize functional strategies to suit the OpCo ecosystem.
- Prepare documentation for tactical changes and approvals.
- Evaluate SLAs and KPIs, and propose changes to policies and procedures as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credits or better, including Mathematics and English;
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years’ total experience in managing & implementing Mobile Money/FinTech APIs;
- Experience in Fintech, Financial Services, Transport Tech, Agri Tech or Fintech Adjacent services is preferred;
- Experience working with Open APIs and complex apps is an added advantage;
- Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding emerging markets is preferred.
