A key account manager (KAM) is a sales professional responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with a company's most important, high-value clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Account Management
- Identify and acquire new business partners in telecom, retail, and financial sectors.
- Develop and execute partnership strategies to promote smartphone financing programs.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct business reviews, performance tracking, and contract renewals.
2. Sales Execution & Growth
- Achieve sales targets through B2B channels, partner activations, and financing product rollout.
- Work with marketing and operations teams to implement promotional campaigns.
- Support training and onboarding for partners’ sales teams.
3. Market Insights & Strategy
- Monitor competitive landscape and market trends in smartphone financing and telecom sectors.
- Provide insights to management on product performance, pricing, and local market dynamics.
- Identify opportunities for new product development or process improvement.
4. Operations & Compliance
- Coordinate with internal teams (finance, risk, operations) to ensure smooth partner onboarding and transaction flows.
- Ensure all partner operations comply with local laws and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or key account management experience, preferably in:
- Telecom / Smartphone industry
- Fintech / Consumer financing
- Distribution or channel management
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing business partnerships.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
- Fluency in English; local language proficiency (French/Portuguese) is an advantage depending on the country.
