OPEN INVITATION TO THE WORLD AIDS DAY ZED FOR ZERO MUSICAL FESTIVAL.
The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is a non-Governmental Organization operating in 49 countries around the world. Founded in 1987 in Los Angeles as the AIDS Hospice Foundation, AHF has grown into the world’s largest HIV/AIDS service organization. With over 8,000 dedicated staff around the world, AHF delivers expert, compassionate and non-judgmental care to all, regardless of ability to pay. Supported by robust advocacy initiatives to achieve policy reform, AHF ensures equitable access to HIV and public health services globally.
In Zambia, the AHF has been working to contribute to the control of the HIV/AIDS epidemic since 2007 with footprints first starting at Chikankata Mission Hospital in Southern Province. AHF currently operates in sixteen districts running two stand-alone clinics, supporting 47 Government clinics and 4 military sites while continually positioning itself to provide cutting edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay.
The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) recently announced a transformative milestone of delivering life-saving HIV prevention, care and treatment to 2.5 million people across 49 countries of which 1.3 million are in 15 African nations. This achievement transcends numbers, embodying restored hope, preserved families and a bold vision for a healthier, equitable world. In recognition of this milestone on 29th November 2025, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Zambia will host a musical concert dubbed “Zed for Zero” to commemorate World AIDS Day at Woodlands Stadium from 10:00hrs to 20:00hrs. The concert carries a bold vision of:
- Zero new HIV infections
- Zero new Sexually Transmitted Infections
- Zero teenage pregnancies
- Zero missed HIV care appointments
- Zero loss to follow-up
