1. Position Summary
The Financial Consultant (FC) is responsible for sourcing clients who need short-term financing secured against their motor vehicles (“car-for-cash loans”). The FC manages the full sales cycle—from lead generation, client assessment, vehicle verification, documentation, and loan submission—to final disbursement. The role requires strong field marketing, product knowledge, and relationship-building to ensure consistent portfolio growth while maintaining compliance.
2. Key Responsibilities
🔹 Client Acquisition & Lead Generation
Identify individuals and business owners needing quick cash using their car as collateral.
Generate leads through field marketing, referrals, garages, car dealers, WhatsApp, Facebook Marketplace, and roadside activations.
Screen leads for eligibility (car ownership, car condition, ability to repay).
🔹 Product Promotion & Client Education
Explain car-for-cash loan requirements, interest rates, terms, and conditions clearly.
Educate clients on vehicle inspection, valuation, and storage procedures.
Provide transparency on repayment schedules and penalties.
🔹 Vehicle Assessment & Documentation
Collect and verify required documents: NRC, proof of ownership, white book/blue book, TPIN, and vehicle photos.
Conduct initial car inspections (checking engine condition, year, mileage, and general state).
Coordinate vehicle valuation and storage arrangements (if applicable).
Ensure all documents are accurate and compliant with credit policies.
🔹 Loan Processing
Assist clients with completing application forms.
Submit full loan files to the credit team promptly.
Follow up on approvals, disbursements, and customer queries.
🔹 Customer Relationship Management
Maintain ongoing communication with clients before and after loan disbursement.
Encourage renewals and top-ups for eligible customers.
Ensure positive customer experience to increase referrals.
🔹 Portfolio Monitoring
Track repayment dates and remind clients.
Report early warning signs of potential default.
Support collections team by managing client expectations.
🔹 Reporting & Compliance
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales/activity reports.
Maintain strict adherence to company loan policies, KYC, and AML guidelines.
Ensure ethical marketing and client engagement.

4. Required Skills & Competencies

5. Qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field.
Experience in microfinance, pawn loans, or automotive sales is an added advantage.
Ability to ride or drive for fieldwork is a plus.

Field-based with daily client visits.
