A private limited company is seeking to recruit a highly competent and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of construction projects and ensuring financial efficiency and value for money.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years proven work experience in quantity surveying
- Registered member of a recognized professional body.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and project budgeting
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and budgets
- Cost planning, monitoring, and control throughout the project lifecycle
- Preparation and certification of interim valuations and final accounts
- Contract administration and management of variations and claims
- Liaison with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and agreed timelines
Required Competencies:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of construction standards and regulations
