We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to support our procurement and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement Act and internal procurement procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and manage the procurement of goods, works, and services.
· Prepare and issue purchase orders, tender documents, and requests for quotations.
· Evaluate bids and supplier proposals in line with procurement regulations.
· Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
· Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
· Ensure full compliance with the Public Procurement Act and company policies.
· Participate in contract negotiations and supplier management activities.
· Prepare procurement reports and support audits when required.
Qualifications and Experience
The role requires strong experience in water-retaining structures, underground utilities/piping, and building construction, with an understanding of Zambian construction standards and regulatory requirements.
Grade 12 Certificate with credits in English and Mathematics.
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Valid membership and practicing license with ZIPS (Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply).
Minimum of 6+ years relevant procurement experience in a reputable organization.
Good knowledge of procurement laws, tendering procedures, and supply chain principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP systems is an added advantage.
