BOILER MAKER- NOVATEK LUSAKA (01)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Procuring job requests involving the breakdown of machinery/equipment in the factory, physically checking the same and diagnosing faults to determine the cause and extent of the damage and material requirements to repair the same.
- Carrying out daily inspections of the plant to ascertain if all machines and equipment are functioning as per normal, including holes forming within transportation systems.
- Undertaking repairing work involving stripping, checking, removing/replacing worn out parts, welding and steel fabrication and checking general mechanical conditions of the same to ensure continuous operations and achieve production targets.
- Adhering to planned maintenance schedules by carrying out servicing/ maintenance work, involving the possibility of welding and fabricating steel components and checking the mechanical condition of the same to prevent excessive wear and tear and enhance prolonged life.
- Carrying out test runs of machinery/ equipment, repaired/maintained to determine the quality of the workmanship before handing over the same to the superior for further tests, and finally handing over to the end users.
- Preparing lists of spares/materials required and submits the same to the superior, and completes Job Cards reports on all work carried out, highlighting work done. Spares/ materials consumption, downtime, etc., for the attention of the superior.
- Motivating and developing a good working relationship with his colleagues in line with the company's manpower policies.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Full grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits.
- Craft Certificate in Metal Fabrication
- 3 years relevant experience.
- Member of EIZ
The Required Attributes Include:
- Ability to analyse and diagnose defects on plant/machinery/equipment and effect corrective measures.
