EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) is a statutory body established pursuant to the ZAQA Act No. 8 of 2024 to develop and implement a National Qualifications Framework (NQF), register qualifications on the NQF, verify and evaluate qualifications and ensure that standards and registered qualifications are internationally comparable.
ZAQA is currently seeking a suitably qualified and detail-oriented person to join its Finance team as an Accountant:
Accountant (Permanent and Pensionable)
Overall Responsibility
To supervise and undertake the execution of the financial management functions in order to ensure accountability of funds. The Accountant is also responsible for managing the full Accounting Cycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
i) Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
ii) Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or its equivalent.
iii) Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
iv) Minimum of 4 years’ experience.
v) Ability to work independently and meet internal and external deadlines.
vi) Ability to write technical and analytical Reports.
vii) Ability to communicate effectively in English.
viii) Qualifications under (i) and (ii) MUST be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority and verification/evaluation certificates submitted together with the application.
