Position Title: Corporate Business Manager
Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Position Overview
The Corporate Business Manager is a pivotal leadership role focused on integrating and optimizing key business operations across administration, marketing, and communications functions. Reporting directly to the Deputy CEO, this role is instrumental in driving operational excellence while supporting Klapton Re’s broader strategic goals.
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of operational expertise, strategic foresight, and project management skills to guide teams and ensure the company’s continued success and growth.
In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Corporate Business Manager will lead the development of strategic presentations for the Executive Committee (EXCO) and spearhead marketing and communications initiatives that enhance Klapton Re’s brand and position in the market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across administration and marketing functions to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Lead process improvements that foster collaboration, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices and policies that promote seamless internal operations.
2. Administrative Oversight
- Ensure efficient office operations, including resource management, office space oversight, and contract administration.
- Implement technology solutions to streamline administrative processes and enhance efficiency.
3. Marketing & Communications
- Lead marketing and communication efforts, ensuring alignment with Klapton Re’s strategic goals and branding.
- Develop and execute communication strategies to enhance internal and external engagement.
- Oversee event planning and ensure Klapton Re maintains a strong presence in the market.
4. Strategic Presentations & EXCO Coordination
- Lead the preparation of strategic presentations and reports for EXCO, ensuring alignment with business initiatives.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure comprehensive and insightful reporting of business performance.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects to ensure the timely delivery of business objectives.
5. Financial Oversight and Budget Management
- Work closely with the Deputy CEO to develop and manage budgets for administration and marketing.
- Monitor operational expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings while ensuring budget compliance.
- Provide data-driven insights to support financial reporting and decision-making.
6. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop administrative and marketing teams to foster collaboration and high performance.
- Establish KPIs and provide professional development opportunities.
- Promote a culture of teamwork and innovation to achieve the company’s strategic goals.
7. Process Improvement & Risk Management
- Continuously assess and improve operational and marketing processes to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team to ensure regulatory adherence and operational best practices.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard operational continuity.
8. Corporate Communications
- Lead internal communication strategies to ensure transparency and alignment across all departments.
- Oversee the creation of internal communication tools, including newsletters and reports, to foster engagement.
- Ensure consistent external messaging that enhances Klapton Re’s brand and reputation.
9. Strategic Planning & Project Management
- Partner with the Deputy CEO to plan and execute strategic business projects, including market expansion initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional projects that support the company’s strategic growth and operational efficiency.
- Provide operational support for corporate-level initiatives, ensuring successful execution.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business operations or marketing management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in project management and preparing strategic presentations for senior leadership.
- Strong understanding of financial management, budget planning, and operational oversight.
- Proficiency with business management tools and office technology systems.
