1. Position title: Monitoring and Evaluation officer
Location(s): Mumbwa Town
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Monitoring and Evaluation officer to join our team in Mumbwa District as M& E officer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing monitoring and evaluation systems to assess the effectiveness and impact of our programs.
Key Responsibilities;
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop and implement M&E framework plans and indictors
- Design data collection tools and methodologies
- Conduct data analysis and reporting
- Monitor project activities and progress
- Technical support and capacity building
- support staff orientation and participate in building capacity for project staff through couching and mentoring for increased/ enhanced competency.
Attributes;
-Excellent analytical / problem solving skills and detail orientation
-Ability to design M& E tools, surveys, surveillance systems and evaluations
-Demonstrate ability to build capacity of Mumbwa District Women Association and local partners
-Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and external partners
- Strong written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate in word and excel and power point
- Ability to adapt in different work environment: office based and fieldwork( rural and peri-urban)
2. Job Description: Field Officer
Summary
To achieve the overall project objective, Mumbwa District Women’s Association strategically works through district and seeks to fill the position of the Field Officer. The incumbent will manage all field level district activities.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities;
- Conduct regular monitoring and follow-up field visits to project sites.
- Routine data collection using approved project data collection tools.
- Collect and document project success stories.
- Proper filing and documentation of project documents.
- Participate in monthly project update meetings.
- Participate actively in programme planning processes.
- Coordinate and support community groups and lead farmers on project activities.
- Mobilize community groups during project implementation.
Competency;
- Understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) tools.
- Good communication, facilitation and report writing skills.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Able to ride a motorbike.
- Practical experience working with rural community-based organisations.
- Relevant knowledge in issues related to Agriculture and Development.
- Hard worker and self-determined.
- Basic knowledge in M&E and related concepts including data analysis and interpretation of results is key.
- Self-driven individual.
