Position: Safety Officer
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to oversee occupational health and safety compliance at our mining operations. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to mining safety regulations, promote a zero-harm culture, and proactively manage operational risks in a high-hazard environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor mine health and safety management systems
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety audits underground
- Ensure compliance with mining regulations and company safety standards
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Deliver safety inductions and continuous training for the workers
- Monitor use of PPE and safe operating procedures
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and management on safety matters
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree or a related qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
- Minimum of 2 years’ safety experience in the related field
- Strong knowledge of mine safety regulations and emergency response procedures
- Excellent leadership, communication, and report-writing skills
- First Aid certification
- Valid silicosis certificate with at least 5 months
Position: Accountant
Role Overview:
We are looking for an Accountant to manage financial operations for our company activities. The role involves cost control, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate requirements within a mining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and asset registers
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, royalties, and mining financial regulations
- Conduct variance analysis and support cost-reduction initiatives
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Maintain accurate financial records for mine operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience, preferably in mining or heavy industry
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial controls
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel
- High attention to detail and integrity
