Africa Tech-Xpo is a Pan-African technology exhibition and conference connecting startups, corporates, investors, telecom operators, policymakers, and innovators shaping the continent’s digital future.
To be hosted in October 2026 in Lusaka, Zambia, the platform brings together leaders across fintech, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and emerging technologies to drive collaboration, investment, and innovation across Africa.
Africa Tech-Xpo is expanding its reach across the continent and is seeking a highly driven Sales Manager to support sponsorship, partnership, and exhibition sales for the event.
Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue through sponsorships, exhibition sales, and strategic partnerships for Africa Tech-Xpo.
This role requires a dynamic and results-driven professional with strong networks across the technology, telecom, banking, fintech, and corporate sectors. The successful candidate will actively identify potential partners, develop proposals, negotiate agreements, and secure participation from leading organizations across Africa.
The role will play a critical part in positioning Africa Tech-Xpo as a premier continental technology platform while achieving defined revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sponsorship Sales
Identify and secure sponsorships from technology companies, financial institutions, telecom operators, fintech firms, development organizations, and other relevant corporate partners.
Develop tailored partnership proposals aligned with sponsor objectives.
Lead negotiations and close sponsorship agreements.
Exhibition Sales
Promote exhibition opportunities to companies seeking visibility within Africa’s digital ecosystem.
Recruit exhibitors including technology vendors, startups, and corporate innovators.
Coordinate with the event team on exhibition space allocation and exhibitor onboarding.
Partnership Development
Build relationships with strategic partners including innovation hubs, venture capital firms, government institutions, and industry associations.
Identify collaboration opportunities that increase the reach and impact of Africa Tech-Xpo.
Sales Pipeline Management
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential sponsors and exhibitors.
Track sales leads, proposals, and confirmed partnerships.
Provide regular progress updates and revenue forecasts to the event leadership team.
Client Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with sponsors and exhibitors throughout the event cycle.
Ensure partners receive value through coordinated visibility and engagement opportunities.
Work closely with the event team to deliver sponsor commitments and partnership benefits.
Key Performance Indicators
Revenue generated through sponsorships and exhibition sales
Number of sponsors and exhibitors secured
Quality and strategic relevance of partnerships
Conversion rate of sales leads to confirmed agreements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Minimum 3–5 years experience in sales, partnerships, sponsorship sales, or business development
Experience in conference, media, or event sponsorship sales is an advantage
Understanding of the technology, fintech, telecom, or innovation ecosystem is preferred
