HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Position Title: Human Resources and Administration Assistant
Reporting to: Human Resource and Organisational Development Manager
Location: National Office
1. Purpose of the Job
The Human Resources and Administration Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative and human resource support activities for the National Office team to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.
The role is primarily responsible for managing reception services, organizing meetings, making travel and accommodation arrangements, supporting event planning, overseeing driver schedules, coordinating office maintenance activities, providing human resource support, and delivering general administrative assistance to the team.
The overall purpose of this position is to provide effective administrative and human resource support, contributing to efficient and smooth operations at SOS Children’s Villages Zambia.
2. Qualifications and Experience
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of proven experience in an administrative or human resource environment.
3. Key Skills Required
- Knowledge of office administration procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities simultaneously.
- Diary management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage administrative processes effectively.
- Basic understanding and experience in Human Resource functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
4. Competencies
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Professional telephone etiquette and reception skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and sound judgment.
