TRUCK DRIVERS – (CHISAMBA) (X20)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Maintaining vehicle daily checkbook
- Keeping truck clean at all times
- Making sure trucks are always refuelled
- Reporting incidents timely
- Practice defensive driving
- Making sure all deliveries are timely and complete
- Collecting green copies of invoices at every delivery.
- Making sure all returns are submitted to security upon return from deliveries.
- Communicating any delivery delays at delivery points
- Adhering to the fleet management policy, taking note of all Geotab parameters (speed, idling, night driving, illegal stoppages and carrying of unauthorized passengers).
- Keeping strict personal hygiene and wear your uniform in full when on duty. You are the face of the business so look the part.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Full Grade 12 certificate.
- At least 2 years’ experience in driving trucks.
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferably CE/PSV.
- Suitably qualified applicants must provide certificates verified by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
The Required Attributes Include:
- A truck driver should possess good communication, customer service, and judgment skills.
- Excellent hearing and vision and be in good physical condition, especially if their job requires loading and unloading freight.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and adapt to changes in driving conditions
