Zimworx is looking for a Customer-Facing Bookkeeper to support financial operations while delivering excellent client service. This role combines core bookkeeping responsibilities with direct client interaction, ensuring financial records are accurate, up to date, and clearly communicated to clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in bookkeeping, and confident in handling client conversations in a professional and engaging manner.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online (QBO), ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.
- Record financial transactions, maintain organized and accurate ledgers, and ensure overall data integrity across accounts.
- Perform account reconciliations and support month-end and reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial outputs.
- Handle inbound and outbound client communication, including calls and messages, in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Respond to client queries related to invoices, payments, and financial records, providing clear and accurate information.
- Maintain thorough documentation of financial activities to ensure records are audit-ready and compliant with internal standards.
- Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial data and take appropriate action to resolve or escalate issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency across bookkeeping and client service functions.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, with hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO) being mandatory.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to clients.
- Strong communication skills with a clear, neutral accent and professional phone etiquette.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to handle client interactions with professionalism and empathy.
- Fast and accurate typing skills, with strong overall computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
