The Heavy Duty Automotive Technician is responsible for the professional maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and complex repair of heavy-duty vehicles (e.g., trucks, buses, or construction equipment). This role ensures the safety, reliability, and peak performance of large-scale assets while minimizing downtime for fleet and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Diagnostics: Use specialized software and precision tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical system failures etc.
- Major Repairs & Overhauls: Perform engine, transmission, and and overhauls, as well as repairs to braking systems and suspension.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute service schedules, including oil analysis, cooling system flushes, and safety inspections to prevent catastrophic component failure.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer specifications and heavy vehicle safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hazard-free workshop environment.
