Job Summary
The Field Sales Agent is responsible for selling lottery tickets, handling daily cash transactions, and ensuring accurate reporting of all sales activities. This role requires high levels of honesty, accountability, and attention to detail, as agents directly manage company funds.
Key Responsibilities
Sell lottery tickets to customers and meet daily/weekly sales targets
Handle and safeguard cash collected from ticket sales
Accurately record opening balances, sales, winnings, and closing balances (5K & 10K categories)
Submit daily sales reports with complete and correct figures
Remit all collected funds to the company on time
Maintain proper records of cash received (including zero entries where applicable)
Provide good customer service and maintain a professional attitude at all times
Report any discrepancies, shortages, or issues immediately
Requirements
Minimum: Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent)
Strong numerical and basic accounting skills
High level of integrity and trustworthiness
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
Previous sales or cash-handling experience is an added advantage
Compensation
Fixed monthly salary: ZMW 2,800
Additional performance-based commissions based on sales volume and targets achieved
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Daily and monthly sales targets achieved
Accuracy and completeness of reports
Timely cash remittance
Zero or minimal cash discrepancies
Work Conditions
Field-based role (assigned locations such as markets, compounds, and high-traffic areas)
Requires handling of physical cash daily
May involve long hours and weekend work depending on operations
