ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Pharmacy Technologist, you will be at the heart of our operations—ensuring safe dispensing, excellent customer care, and efficient pharmacy management. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment where your expertise truly makes a difference.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines
- Provide professional advice and counselling to customers on medications and minor ailments
- Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations and standards
- Monitor and manage stock, including controlled and specialized medicines
- Conduct basic health checks (e.g. blood pressure, diabetes screening)
- Support inventory management, purchasing, and merchandising
- Supervise and guide pharmacy support staff
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage conditions (including temperature control)
- Monitor and manage expired and near-expiry stock
- Contribute to overall pharmacy performance and customer satisfaction
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
- Able to work long hours
- Registered with HPCZ (mandatory)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Leadership ability with experience supervising staff is an added advantage
- Experience working in a retail pharmacy is an added advantage
