POSITION: Aviation Security Assistant
REPORTING TO: Senior Aviation Security Officer
LOCATION: Ndola Station
ZEGA is inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals to fill the position of Female Aviation Security Assistant based in Ndola.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Access control as assigned by the superior.
· Monitoring and surveillance of the cargo/baggage from point of acceptance, sorting, transportation/transfer, loading/unloading until loaded into the aircraft and or secured by the passengers
· Screening of all cargo, mail, baggage, and catering
· Escorting of screened baggage, mail, catering and cargo
· Verification of deliveries to the rightful owners of Agents
· Ensures baggage reconciliation is done between baggage make up area and aircraft loading
· Night protection of the premises, installations and facilities of ZEGA Limited. Identifying operational security threats and hazards and prevent pilferage of passenger baggage, property and cargo from pilferages/unauthorized interference from the point of acceptance, storage, transfer to and from aircraft until loaded and doors closed or dispatched to clients/owners
· Operating security screening equipment (X-rays, metal detectors) and identify items prohibited for air transportation and or entering the cargo premises.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
· Must be female
· Grade 12 Certificate
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
· Physically fit and able to work shifts, including nights and weekends
· Strong observation and communication skills
· Honest, reliable, and of high integrity
· Must be a Zambian citizen with a valid NRC
· All certificates must be validated by ZAQA
Added Advantage:
· Experience in aviation or corporate security
· Basic knowledge of CCTV systems
· Valid police clearance certificate
