Qualifications and Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
• Must have experience working in the logistics or transport industry
• Experience handling truck drivers and transport workforce management
• Knowledge and experience in fuel allocation/control procedures will be an added advantage
• Good understanding of Zambian labour laws and HR practices
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work under pressure and manage operational HR issues effectively
DUTIES
Managing recruitment, onboarding, and deployment of truck drivers and logistics staff
• Handling truck drivers’ complaints, disciplinary issues, and welfare matters
• Monitoring attendance, leave, and shift schedules for drivers and support staff
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, labour laws, and road transport regulations
• Coordinating driver performance management and conducting disciplinary hearings when necessary
• Assisting in fuel allocation monitoring and ensuring accountability in fuel usage
• Working closely with fleet and operations departments on driver allocation and trip planning
• Maintaining employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
• Conducting investigations related to misconduct, fuel theft, accidents, or negligence
• Facilitating training programs on safety, defensive driving, and company procedures
• Managing payroll inputs such as overtime, allowances, and driver-related claims
• Supporting employee relations and promoting a productive working environment
• Preparing HR reports related to manpower, absenteeism, disciplinary cases, and staff turnover
• Ensuring drivers possess valid licences, medical certificates, and required compliance documents
• Assisting management in resolving operational and workforce challenges within the logistics department
