Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, honest, and experienced Driver to join our team in Livingstone. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting staff, goods, documents, and other assigned items within Livingstone and to areas outside Livingstone, including farms and rural roads.
The ideal candidate must be fluent in English, have at least 3 years of driving experience, and be able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Work Area: Livingstone and surrounding areas, including farm and out-of-town assignments.
Key Responsibilities
The Driver will be responsible for:
- Driving company vehicles safely and responsibly at all times.
- Transporting staff, goods, documents, and other materials as assigned.
- Driving within and outside Livingstone, including farm areas and rural routes.
- Ensuring the vehicle is clean, secure, and in good working condition.
- Conducting daily vehicle checks, including fuel, oil, water, tyres, brakes, lights, and general roadworthiness.
- Reporting mechanical faults, accidents, delays, or vehicle issues immediately.
- Maintaining accurate vehicle movement records, mileage logs, and fuel records where required.
- Following all road traffic laws and company transport procedures.
- Supporting errands, deliveries, and administrative transport duties when required.
- Handling company property with care and maintaining confidentiality.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
- Valid Zambian or SADC driver’s licence, preferably Class B or higher.
- At least 3 years of proven driving experience.
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Willing and able to work outside Livingstone, including farm areas.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and daily vehicle inspections.
- Ability to use a smartphone for calls, WhatsApp, and navigation such as Google Maps.
- Honest, punctual, respectful, and able to work with minimum supervision.
