JOB PURPOSE
To drive sales, increase market share, and ensure availability and visibility of all Swiss Bake products in General Trade (GT) outlets within the assigned territory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales Execution: Achieve monthly sales targets by SKU and by outlet type. Ensure numeric and weighted distribution growth of biscuit brands. Identify and onboard new retail outlets in the assigned area.
- Market Coverage: Follow the permanent journey plan (PJP) and visit all scheduled outlets. Ensure 100% outlet coverage as per the route plan. Regularly update and map outlets within the territory.
- Visibility & Merchandising: Ensure product visibility and proper placement on shelves. Implement in-store merchandising standards using POSM materials. Place biscuit stands, shelf strips, wobblers, and posters where applicable.
- Order Generation & Relationship Building: Generate and follow up on orders with distributors. Build strong relationships with retail customers to improve brand loyalty. Handle objections and resolve customer complaints.
- Reporting & Documentation: Submit daily sales reports, outlet visit details, and order summaries. Maintain records of stock levels, expiry dates, and returns (if any).
Key Requirements:
- Full grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in FMCG sales, preferably in biscuits/snacks.
- Proven experience in General Trade channel in Zambia.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a holder of a valid class A license with not less than 2 years of riding experience
