Job Description:
Position Overview: The E-Learning Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation, coordination, troubleshooting, and content management of the YA E-Learning Platform at Skills2Live Zambia. Working closely with Young Africa team and the e-learning platform development team to ensure the successful launch, adoption, and utilisation of the platform at these locations. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful utilisation of the platform. The E-Learning Coordinator will also support the ICT Trainers in software engineering, digital marketing and product design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Needs Assessment: Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
- Training: Teaching digital literacy to TVET students.
- Platform Management: Oversee the implementation of the YA E-Learning Platform in coordination with the development team. This includes managing user registration, monitoring platform usage, tracking user progress within courses, providing user support, coordinating with stakeholders, conducting quality assurance checks, and driving continuous improvement efforts such as implementing updates, improvements and new features based on user needs and industry trends. Oversee the technical administration, troubleshooting, and content management of the E-Learning Platform
- Content Development: Collaborate with instructors and YA to design, upload, and update engaging online learning materials.
- Content Organization & Management: Organize and develop or obtain training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials such as handouts and visual materials. Ensure that the platform’s courses, resources, and user materials are organised, accurate, and accessible, and make necessary updates to keep the content current and aligned with organisational goals
- User Support & Troubleshooting: Provide day-to-day technical assistance to learners and trainers to ensure smooth adoption of digital training solutions and uptake of the platform while providing technical support and troubleshooting to platform users.
- Strategy: Develop and execute promotional strategies to increase the platform's utilization and reach among target youth including use of various instructional techniques or formats, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track user engagement, course effectiveness and quality, compiling reports on platform uptake and learner progress.
- Budgetary monitoring: Monitor training costs to ensure the budget is not exceeded and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures.
- Coordination: Coordinate with the Young Africa team and development team to ensure the platform is seamlessly incorporated into existing systems and widely adopted by users.
- Capacity Building: Conduct training sessions for trainers and users on platform usage and best practices. Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.

- Software engineering and emerging technology such as AI, full stack development and advanced programming
- Digital marketing and strategy, SEO/SEM, AI for content and program management for digital projects
- Product design, creative User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI) design and Human Centred Design Thinking.
1. QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Education/Adult Education, Educational Technology
· Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or related field.
· Proven experience (at least 3 years) in e-learning platform management, preferably in the context of vocational education and training (VET) or related programs.
· Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools/software.
Skills and Abilities:
· Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and user support
· Technical proficiency in e-learning platforms, content management, and troubleshooting.
· Knowledge of instructional design principles and best practices.
· Experience with digital ad platforms, analytics, and campaign management.
· Proficiency in modern coding languages and a deep understanding of digital security.
· Mastery of tools like Figma or Adobe XD and a strong digital design portfolio.
· Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or Portuguese is a plus.
