JOB DESCRIPTION – BRICKLAYER

Job Summary
The Bricklayer is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining walls, foundations, partitions, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials while ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials according to drawings and specifications.
- Construct walls, foundations, columns, and other masonry structures.
- Mix and apply mortar and grout.
- Measure and align work using levels, plumb lines, and other construction tools.
- Repair damaged brickwork and masonry structures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow site safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Site Supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Trade Test Certificate or relevant qualification in Bricklaying.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in bricklaying or masonry works.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Good physical fitness and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
