Key Responsibilities:
- Operations & Tracking: Real-time tracking of vehicles using GPS and telematics to monitor location, speed, and driver behavior (e.g., harsh braking, idling). They coordinate routes, optimize schedules for efficiency, and manage day-to-day logistics, including driver assignments.
- Maintenance & Safety: Scheduling and tracking preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and breakdowns. Ensuring all vehicles adhere to safety standards and conducting inspections.
- Driver & Asset Management: Managing driver compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and labor regulations. Handling driver scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensuring legal compliance for licenses, permits, and inspections. Maintaining detailed records of fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and vehicle utilization to generate performance reports.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Responding to emergencies, such as accidents or breakdowns, and coordinating with repair workshops.
- Cost Control: Monitoring and reducing operational costs related to fuel, maintenance, and unnecessary vehicle usage.
Required Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of GPS tracking software and fleet management systems.
- Organization & Communication: Strong skills to manage logistics and communicate with drivers and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle real-time logistical challenges.
Qualification:
Should have a Diploma or Degree in Transport and Logistics or Related fields.
