Job Purpose
To ensure pharmaceutical products are consistently available, properly displayed, and effectively promoted across assigned retail outlets, pharmacies, supermarkets, and wholesale customers. The Merchandiser, employed through the HR Outsourcing department, represents the company professionally while maintaining merchandising standards and supporting sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
Visit assigned retail outlets according to the approved route plan.
Ensure products are well-stocked, properly arranged, and displayed in line with company merchandising standards.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with the sales team where necessary.
Rotate stock using the First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) principle and remove expired or damaged products.
Install and maintain promotional materials and point-of-sale displays.
Ensure correct product pricing and promotional offers are displayed.
Build and maintain professional relationships with store managers and retail staff.
Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotions, and shelf positioning, and provide market feedback.
Maintain clean, organized, and attractive product displays.
Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly merchandising reports.
Comply with all client policies, HR Outsourcing guidelines, and health and safety requirements.
Perform any other merchandising duties assigned by the client or supervisor.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Compliance with merchandising standards.
Product availability across assigned outlets.
Number of scheduled outlet visits completed.
Reduction in stock-outs and expired products.
Quality of product displays and shelf visibility.
Timely submission of reports.
Client satisfaction and performance ratings.
Qualifications
Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Training in merchandising or retail operations is an added advantage.
Experience of 1–2 years' experience in merchandising, retail sales, or FMCG.
Experience working in supermarkets, pharmacies, or retail outlets is preferred.
Experience working under an HR outsourcing arrangement is an added advantage.
