1 Purpose
To thoroughly assemble and fit metal parts for plant machinery or structures. The responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and ensuring precision in alignment and fitting. Welding and fabrication techniques is essential.
2 Key Responsibilities
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints;
Cut, shape, and bend metal components using hand and power tools;
Assemble and fit metal components using welding, bolting, and riveting techniques;
Ensure accuracy and quality of finished products by conducting visual inspections and using measuring tools;
Operate machinery such as drills, saws, and grinders;
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
3 Basic Qualifications
G12 School Certificate, Craft Certificate, Computer Skills (MS Word & Excel - Intermediate), 3 years experience in metal fabrication and fitting. Good Communication & Supervision Skills
