The position of Sales Associate requires a highly driven, adaptable and reliable individual to help take our company to the next level. You will be part of a dynamic team that finds, signs and grows commercial customers for our LPG and clean-energy solutions across Lusaka. This position reports to the Head of Sales and Marketing. It is responsible for the following, among other sales and marketing duties:
• Persist in direct sales, finding and signing new commercial customers such as restaurants, hotels, lodges, schools, colleges and hospitals.
• Research the market, build a target list of prospects and make daily calls to schedule appointments and site visits.
• Assess customers’ energy needs, recommend the right solution, prepare quotations from the approved price list and open new accounts.
• Provide superior customer service, answer client questions promptly and keep in regular contact to grow volumes and win referrals.
• Meet sales targets, and set up booths at trade shows and events to demonstrate the use and safety of our products.
• Monitor competitors’ prices and activities, and keep up to date with product knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare daily and weekly sales reports showing what is selling, what is not selling, and how fast.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12 School Certificate; a certificate or diploma in sales, marketing or business studies is an advantage.
• At least one year in B2B field sales, telesales or account management. Selling to hotels, restaurants or schools is a strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of Lusaka; fluent English plus Nyanja or Bemba.
• Confident using a smartphone, WhatsApp Business and spreadsheets. A valid driving licence is an advantage.
