CAKE BAKERS & DECORATORS

📍 Location: Woodlands, Lusaka
Okavango Foods Limited is looking for two skilled, creative and hardworking Cake Bakers & Decorators to join our growing production team.
We are establishing a high-volume premium cake production line and need experienced individuals who can produce beautiful, delicious and consistently high-quality cakes while working efficiently under pressure.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in modern cake baking and professional decorating techniques.
- Excellent skills in fresh cream cake decorating, including whipping, layering, smoothing, piping, finishing and proper handling.
- Proficiency in buttercream, ganache, fondant work and contemporary cake decorating techniques.
- Ability to bake and decorate rich, premium-quality cakes, including birthday, celebration and customised cakes.
- Good understanding of cake recipes, fillings, flavours and finishing techniques.
- Speed, physical stamina and endurance to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment without compromising quality.
- Ability to reproduce cake designs accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, hygiene and food safety, including proper temperature control for fresh cream cakes.
- Ability to work as part of a team, meet production targets and deliver orders on time.
- Must reside in Woodlands or nearby surrounding areas.
REMUNERATION
We offer a performance-based remuneration package consisting of:
- Monthly base salary
- Additional commission linked to the selling price of qualifying cakes
- Base salary and earned commission paid monthly

Shortlisted candidates must undergo an actual hands-on cake decorating practical assessment.

- Ability to follow and reproduce cake designs
- Hygiene and proper handling of ingredients
Selection will be based on demonstrated practical ability, not photographs or qualifications alone.
