We are seeking a Business Development Officer (BDO) to drive growth through partnerships, strategic initiatives, and new market opportunities. This role is ideal for a dynamic, tech-savvy professional who understands both public and private sector ecosystems, especially within Zambia’s electronic government procurement (EGP) landscape.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments for Hyperlabs Zambia’s technology solutions.
· Develop and execute strategic growth plans aligned with company goals.
· Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and client segmentation to inform business strategy.
· Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate, institutional, and government clients.
· Identify and respond to government and private sector tenders, especially through the Electronic Government Procurement (EGP) platform.
· Collaborate with sales, product, and technical teams to develop tailored client proposals and bids.
· Prepare and present proposals, capability statements, and commercial offers to prospective clients.
· Track and report business performance metrics (pipeline, win rates, client retention, revenue growth).
· Represent Hyperlabs Zambia at industry forums, exhibitions, and stakeholder meetings.
· Support leadership in identifying strategic alliances, vendor partnerships, and investment opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
· Diploma /Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or Information Technology.
· 3–5 years’ experience in business development, partnerships, or sales — ideally within the technology, ICT, or consulting sectors.
· Proven experience working with the Electronic Government Procurement (EGP) system and government bidding processes.
· Demonstrated success in developing proposals, closing deals, and managing client accounts.
· Strong understanding of digital transformation, ICT infrastructure, and SaaS solutions.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking abilities.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects.
